Do I need a Level 3 before Level 4 skin courses?

Yes. The Level 4 awards are for Level 3 therapists and medics, as stated on each course page. Beginners without a relevant Level 3 should start with the VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetic Therapies.

Should I take single Level 4 awards or the full Level 4 certificate?

The Level 4 Certificate covers microneedling and peels together (£2,850.00). Single Level 4 awards are priced individually (£1,500.00 where shown on those course pages). Choose based on the units you need; compare the live fees on each course page rather than assuming a package saving.

What is the difference between the VTCT microneedling award and the CPD microneedling course?

The VTCT route is a regulated Level 4 award with classes of up to 6. The CPD course is e-learning plus a practical session in groups of 4. Insurers and employers may ask which you hold.

What comes after Level 4 skin?

Level 4 holders can progress to Level 5 skin rejuvenation, Level 5 chemical peels or Level 5 RF microneedling. Level 5 skin is also the entry route towards Level 7 on the Pathway to Aesthetics.

Yes. Models are supplied on practical days for the VTCT skin courses.

How are the courses assessed?

Assessment includes practical observations by the tutor and remote online theory exams. Theory exams are not class days.

Can I spread the cost?
