Before enrolling in certain courses, please ensure you meet the following requirements:

Embark on your journey to achieving the VTCT Level 4 Award in Plasma Pen Techniques. The VTCT Level 4 Award in Plasma Pen Techniques is a beauty aesthetic qualification aimed at level 3 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add Plasma Pen Techniques to their repertoire of treatment offerings.

Learners are required to hold a level 3 beauty therapy qualification or an appropriate access to aesthetics qualification or equivalent.

What does this qualification cover?

This qualification is informed by employers and national and international standards for aesthetic beauty and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a fully qualified Plasma Pen practitioner.

Learners must achieve the mandatory unit:

• Enhance appearance using plasma pen techniques (UBT456, Level 4)

Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant requirements, regulations and safe practice treatment protocols for plasma pen techniques. Learners will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to consult with clients, and provide specific aftercare and home care advice.

You will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence, including written assignments and 6 case studies. Case studies are completed onsite at the college. Your e-learning opens when you pay your deposit. Once your onsite practical training is complete, you finish your e-learning and written assignments.

Finally, to complete the course you will need to sit and pass the external theory and practical examinations.

You attend three days at our Orpington clinic:

• Day 1: Formative Practical Training
• Day 2: Formative Practical Training
• Day 3: End Point Assessment

You can offer plasma pen (fibroblast) treatments to paying clients in a salon, clinic or your own business, on a regulated Level 4 award you can take to your insurer. A regulated qualification also shows clients and insurers that you have been assessed by an independent VTCT assessor, not just shown a device.

Your e-learning opens as soon as you pay your deposit. You then attend 2 formative practical training days at our Orpington clinic, completing your 6 case studies on live models, followed by 1 end point assessment day with a VTCT assessor. Written assignments and an online theory exam complete your portfolio. Our team will help you arrange your dates.

£1,500 including VAT, registration and certificate fees. A £250 deposit secures your place and opens your e-learning, with the balance due 14 days before you start. You can also pay in full, pay with Klarna (interest free) or apply for Snap Finance (subject to status). Combine courses totalling £3,000 or more to spread the cost.

Yes. Models are always supplied by the college, so you don't need to find your own for your practical training days. Classes are limited to six learners, so your tutor can guide you on every plasma pen treatment as you complete your case studies and build confidence before your end point assessment.

Yes. A plasma pen is included with your course, subject to stock availability, so you are equipped to start working with clients once you successfully complete your training. During your practical days you train on professional plasma pen equipment under your tutor's supervision, so you know how to set up, use and care for your device.

No. A CPD course shows you a device in a day. This is a regulated VTCT Level 4 award, with written assignments, 6 case studies, an online theory exam and an end point assessment by a VTCT assessor. It covers plasma pen techniques only: it is not laser, injectables or a one-day CPD device course.

Possibly. Our RPL route recognises your existing accreditation and experience. You should hold CPD accreditation in plasma fibroblast, have 2 years' experience and be able to provide 10 case studies. Admissions review every request and may ask for more information before confirming your route onto the regulated award.
