VTCT Level 2 Facial and Skincare Course in London

Before enrolling in certain courses, please ensure you meet the following requirements:

• Students must be 18 years or older
• **No prior qualification or experience necessary **
• Self-Directed Learning: Ability to engage in independent study, including e-learning, pre-study assignments, and exams.
• Technology Access: Possession of a functional laptop or desktop computer.
• Language Proficiency: Strong written and verbal English skills.

To obtain VTCT Level 2 Facial and Skincare award, you will need to complete the following three units:

• Facial Massage and Skincare
• Health, Safety and Hygiene of the workplace
• Client Care, Communication and Salon Reception Duties

This course is delivered as follows:

• Day 1: Practical Training (9:45am - 5:30pm)
• Day 2: Practical Training (9:45am - 5:30pm)
• Day 3: Practical Observations (9:45am - 5:30pm)

Once you have completed the schedule, you will be set e-learning for the three core units of study in the course, which you will be able to complete at your own pace. Each will include a written assignment for completion.

Once you have completed your e-learning and written assignments you will need to sit a final exam online to fully complete your training programme to become qualified.

What will you learn from this course?

The course covers a wide range of topics, including contra-indications and contra-actions, anatomy and physiology related to the skin, face, scalp, and neck, and skin analysis, skin types, and conditions. You'll also learn how to perform essential skincare techniques, such as skin cleansing, toning, exfoliation, moisturising, steam, and extraction.

Moreover, you'll learn how to provide face, neck, and shoulder massages and apply masks to address different skincare concerns. You'll also receive guidance on how to advise clients and provide them with the best possible skincare routines.

To ensure you're making progress, our continuous assessments include practical assessments, oral questions, tests, and written assignments. You'll provide evidence to determine whether you've reached a level of competence. Written assessment papers will provide further evidence of your knowledge and understanding of the subject. All of these assessments will be included in a portfolio that you'll receive upon completion of the course.

Career options for skincare experts are vast, with options to work for spas, hotels, cruise ships, and clinics worldwide. This course also gives you all you need to run your own skincare business or seek employment as a skincare expert in the retail cosmetic industry.
