1. Provide cosmetic skin needling treatments (UBT278, Level 4)

You will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence, including 6 case studies. Case studies are completed onsite at the college. Your e-learning opens when you pay your deposit. Once your onsite practical training is complete, you finish your e-learning.

Finally, to complete the course you will need to sit and pass an external theory and practical examination.

You attend three days at our Orpington clinic: two formative practical training days, training with Dr Pen and Beautier devices, then one end point assessment day with a VTCT assessor. Yes. Models are always supplied by the college, so you don't need to find your own for your practical training days, although you are welcome to bring your own. Classes are limited to 6 learners, so your tutor can guide you on every treatment as you complete your case studies and build confidence before your end point assessment.

If you want chemical peels as well, our VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Therapies for Skin Rejuvenation (BT4C16, QAN 610/5777/0) covers peels and microneedling together: 2 online webinar days plus 5 training days, in a class of 6, for £2,850 with a £285 deposit. No. A CPD course shows you a technique. This is a regulated VTCT Level 4 award, with an online theory exam and an external practical assessment by a VTCT assessor. It covers microneedling only: it is not chemical peels, not RF microneedling and not anti-wrinkle injections.

Possibly. Our RPL route recognises your existing accreditation and experience. You should hold CPD (or similar) accreditation in microneedling, have 2 years' experience and be able to provide 10 case studies. For RPL onto the Level 4 skin certificate, you need CPD in both chemical peels and microneedling. Admissions review every request and may ask for more information.

No. You train with Dr Pen and Beautier devices, and all supplies, including the devices, needles and products, are provided for your practical training days, so you don't need to buy anything for the course. There is no kit to take home: you use our professional equipment under your tutor's supervision while you complete your case studies.
