The VTCT Skills Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Therapies for Skin Rejuvenation (BT4C16, QAN 610/5777/0). It is a regulated qualification covering microneedling and superficial chemical peels. You are assessed through written assignments, case studies, an online theory exam and practical observations, with live webinars along the way, and you receive your VTCT certificate when you pass.

You can offer chemical peels and microneedling to paying clients in a salon or clinic, subject to your own insurance. No. This course covers microneedling and superficial chemical peels only. Laser hair removal is a separate VTCT Level 4 Certificate, and injectables such as anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers are taught on our Level 7 diploma. Many learners take this skin certificate first, then add laser or move on to Level 5 skin and Level 7.

Yes. Models are supplied by the college for your training days, so you can focus on learning rather than finding clients. You are welcome to bring your own model if you prefer. You carry out microneedling and chemical peel treatments under your tutor's supervision, and your tutor observes you to confirm you meet the VTCT standard.

Yes. Once you pass, you hold a regulated Level 4 qualification in microneedling and superficial chemical peels. You can use it to apply for insurance and offer these treatments to paying clients. Insurance terms are set by your insurer, and any local licensing rules by your council, so check both before you take your first booking.

This Certificate covers both microneedling and superficial chemical peels in one regulated qualification, and it is not a one-day CPD.
