Carbon Laser Facial (Hollywood Peel) Training Course

This one-day intensive Carbon Laser Facial course focuses on the safe and effective delivery of the popular Hollywood Peel treatment using a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser.

The course combines essential laser theory with extensive hands-on practical experience, ensuring learners understand not only how to perform the treatment, but how to do so safely, legally, and in line with UK laser safety expectations.

On completion, learners receive a CPD Accredited Certificate, enabling them to seek insurance and begin offering Carbon Laser Facial treatments, subject to local authority licensing requirements.

This course is suitable for:

• Beauty therapists looking to expand into laser-based facials

This course is not intended as an entry-level beauty qualification, and learners should already be comfortable working in a professional treatment environment.

• Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification

• VTCT Level 4 qualification in Laser Hair Removal or equivalent

Learners must be confident working with skin and following clinical protocols.

This ensures practical training time is focused on hands-on skill development, not basic theory.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

• Understand the science behind Carbon Laser Facial treatments
• Conduct thorough consultations and skin assessments
• Identify suitable clients using Fitzpatrick skin typing
• Recognise contraindications and contra-actions
• Safely set up and operate a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser
• Apply medical-grade carbon correctly and safely
• Deliver a full Carbon Laser Facial treatment
• Provide appropriate aftercare advice and manage expectations
• Maintain laser safety protocols in line with UK guidance

Assessment is continuous and practical, including:

• Tutor observation of technique and safety
• Assessment of consultation and skin assessment
• Correct laser parameter selection
• Safe use of equipment and PPE
• Theory Q&A participation

There is no written exam.

Upon successful completion, learners receive a:

CPD Accredited Certificate in Carbon Laser Facial

This certificate enables learners to:
