The role

We're looking for an experienced semi permanent makeup artist with qualifications to teach. You'll share the practical knowledge, professional judgement and care that help learners build confidence in their work.

What you'll do

  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons, treatment demonstrations and practical sessions in the permanent makeup techniques you are qualified to teach.
  • Explain consultation, treatment planning, suitability, hygiene and aftercare clearly, helping learners understand the reasons behind each step.
  • Coach students through practical work, identifying areas for improvement and giving specific, encouraging feedback.
  • Support learners as they build portfolios and prepare for assessment, working with assessing colleagues where required.
  • Keep lesson resources and learner progress records organised, and raise support needs with the wider college team.
  • Maintain a professional teaching environment and keep your treatment knowledge and teaching practice current.

What you'll bring

  • Experience as a semi permanent makeup artist, with relevant treatment qualifications and examples of your work.
  • A teaching qualification and the ability to translate your practical expertise into clear, well-structured lessons.
  • A thorough approach to consultation, hygiene, treatment safety, aftercare and professional standards.
  • Patience, attention to detail and the ability to give supportive feedback to learners with different levels of confidence.
  • Good organisation and the ability to deliver teaching on site at our Orpington college.

It would also be helpful to have

  • Experience teaching permanent makeup in a vocational training setting or developing practical learning resources.
  • An assessing qualification or experience supporting learner portfolios and practical assessments.
