The role

We're looking for an experienced beauty therapist with qualifications to teach. If you enjoy explaining treatments, encouraging others and setting a high standard of client care, this is an opportunity to make that part of your everyday work.

You'll teach at our Orpington college, helping students connect their theory with practical treatment skills. You'll work with colleagues to create organised, supportive sessions and give learners clear guidance as they progress.

Experienced beauty therapist with teaching qualifications

What you'll do

  • Plan and deliver theory lessons, demonstrations and supervised practical sessions in the beauty treatments you are qualified to teach.
  • Demonstrate professional consultation, treatment preparation, hygiene, client care and aftercare throughout your teaching.
  • Observe students' practical work and provide clear feedback that helps them improve their technique and confidence.
  • Adapt explanations and learning activities to support students with different experience and learning needs.
  • Keep learning resources and progress records organised, and coordinate with teaching and assessment colleagues on next steps.
  • Help maintain a well-prepared learning environment and keep your subject knowledge and teaching practice up to date.

What you'll bring

  • Experience as a beauty therapist with relevant qualifications in the treatments you would teach.
  • A teaching qualification and the ability to explain theory and demonstrate practical skills clearly.
  • A consistent approach to treatment safety, hygiene, client care and professional conduct.
  • An encouraging, student-focused manner and confidence giving constructive feedback.
  • Good planning and organisation, with the ability to work on site at our Orpington college.

It would also be helpful to have

  • Experience teaching beauty qualifications or developing lesson plans and practical learning materials.
  • An assessing qualification or experience supporting practical assessment and learner portfolios.
