The role

We're looking for an experienced aesthetics educator who cares as much about how students learn as the treatments they deliver. You'll help learners connect theory with safe, confident practice at our Orpington college.

This is a teaching and assessing role with responsibility for practical delivery, learner feedback and assessment evidence. You must be able to deliver VTCT courses at Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5. Please make your qualifications and experience at each level clear in your application.

Essential: able to deliver VTCT Levels 3, 4 & 5

What you'll do

  • Plan and deliver engaging theory lessons, treatment demonstrations and supervised practical sessions for VTCT Level 3, 4 and 5 learners.
  • Assess practical competence and portfolio evidence against qualification criteria, giving clear, constructive feedback and recording assessment decisions accurately.
  • Support learners with different starting points, identify gaps in understanding and agree practical next steps to keep them progressing.
  • Model safe, professional practice, including consultation, contraindications, hygiene, treatment planning, aftercare and appropriate record keeping.
  • Keep learner records and assessment evidence organised, and work with internal quality assurance colleagues to maintain consistent standards.
  • Work with the student success and teaching teams to prepare sessions, resolve learner queries and improve the learning experience.
  • Keep your subject knowledge and teaching practice current through ongoing professional development.

What you'll bring

  • The qualifications, occupational competence and experience needed to deliver VTCT Level 3, 4 and 5 courses. This is essential for the role.
  • Relevant teaching and assessing qualifications, with experience of vocational teaching, practical assessment and portfolio feedback.
  • Strong practical aesthetics knowledge and a consistent approach to treatment safety and professional standards.
  • The ability to explain technical subjects clearly, demonstrate treatments confidently and give supportive, specific feedback.
  • Good organisation, accurate assessment records and the ability to manage learner progress and assessment deadlines.
  • A collaborative, student-focused approach and the ability to work on site at our Orpington college.

It would also be helpful to have

  • Experience supporting internal quality assurance, standardisation or external quality assurance visits.
  • Experience developing lesson plans, learning resources or assessment support materials.

Your application

Tell us which VTCT Level 3, 4 and 5 courses you can deliver, your teaching and assessing qualifications, and how you've helped learners succeed. A portfolio link is welcome if you have one.
